The plane has just passed 139 and a half degrees east. The equivalent of Mt. Isa.

A little further north from where they passed is the site of the world's deadliest single-aeroplane crash, that of JAL123. If you've never heard the sound of a fully-laden 747 crashing into a mountain, listen to the end of this. (Takes a while to load on dial-up connections.
