the image in my head is really gettting to me though.
I had to stop reading a book on birth defects (even though there were no pictures), ok it wasn't on defects per se - but on how the whole process works and what can go wrong as much as right...but anyway - I kept looking up the things it was talking about - and it really scared me. Not in a monster babies are going to come and get me...but when they would say "1 in 20,000 people will have this happen" and then I'd freak out about having kids because it's sucha small number.
...and every one of my friends has beautiful kids - Except for Melissa has Molly....heh heh heh. Beautiful little girl....nuts...but nice looking. and you just KNOW those 2 are going be fun to watch once that kids 16.
Hell I may even move back to Brisbane and cook up a 4 year bag of pop corn just to watch.
Boycat's Mum emailed me the text at work and asked if it was real - all I could use to check was sensis.com.au (They took Google off us last year when they realised that page content was available through google's cache) and from that I figured it was a real writer and a real place.
But then I saw the pictures and it looked a bit muppet-y...
The article in 'Art Newspaper' #160 was the original (I believe), although they page has expired. It is available as a cache though.
(BTW, please don’t see this as anti Islamic propaganda Boycats Dad, I know where you stand on that and think you know me to well to accuse that, if we want to redress the issue of ‘Religions believing crazy fakes to be real’ then do a search on ‘Turin’ and ‘Shroud’, or even ‘Brisbane church statue cry’)
I find myself sinning the’ Muppet Babies’ theme in the shower now.
I would say that It is probably real – Watched ‘Medical Incredible’ last night and they had a quick story about children born with brain abnormalities, the overlay was a variety of ‘babies in bottles’ or ‘Pickled punks’ as they are sometimes referred to. One of the specimens looked almost exactly like the baby in the photograph.

I remember reading about that in Crikey at the time.
And yes, I view this as you providing me with information about a similar hoax* that you know of, nothing more.
*similar, except that the article/pictures I linked to probably aren't a hoax.
